One other thing - The problem also occured even after I disconnected this computer from my router and hooked it directly to my Cable modem connection.

I did start>run>cmd>ipconfig and the ip address that is reported was different then the router,,,

I tried using those in the coreFTPlite settings under "use NAT ip address" and that didn't help.

I even emailed my host to verify my user name and password - I forgot to mention that.

I don't think the server was busy as I could log on normal with CoffeeCupFTP. I really think it was the WindowsXP Firewall that took care of the problem instantly.
